Hey guys, check out this story. This picture is once again proof of how much music can connect people, give comfort and even heal. One day I met @alex_the_heavybear at one of my gigs. He told me he was a huge fan and I immediately liked him (and not just because of that :)) One night when I was travelling on the train to an all night long gig, I didn’t realise how much I would affect him with my words and my music. Alex sent me voice mails while I was on the train that evening in which he desperately confessed that he was in a rehab clinic but couldn’t stand it there any longer. The pressure was too high and he absolutely had to get out of there. I answered intuitively yes, then come to my gig but if you come then only for the music. I explained to him that I too would only get high from the music (without taking any substances) and he promised to do the same. So far so good. Alex pulled it off and stood sober for which I showed him my respect afterwards. A few months later I got the message that Alex wanted to thank me in the form of a picture. I knew that Alex liked to slip into the skin of people in the arts (drag queen - heavy bear) but I didn’t realise that he was a real painter. When i finally unwrapped the picture, i was simply touched and fascinated by this incredible gift. It has found the perfect place in my new apartment. Ich bin immer noch völlig geflasht von diesem super intensiven All Night Long im Tanzhaus West. Erstmal war es richtig, schön zu sehen, wer alles extra für mich gekommen ist. Aus allen möglichen Städten in Deutschland und sogar aus dem Ausland waren Leute aus Kuba und Kolumbien oder Frankreich, da sie durch Social Media auf das Event aufmerksam geworden sind. Ich persönlich liebe lange oder sogar All Night Long Sets, weil sie für mich eine besondere Herausforderung darstellen. Es ist eine sehr ehrenvolle, aber auch herausfordernde Aufgabe, den gesamten Abend lang die Gäste am Tanzen zu halten und man hat zudem die Chance, die Gäste auf eine Reise mitzunehmen und hier und da auch mal ein bisschen auszuschweifen. Von Aphix Twin über Daft Punk bis hin zu Prodigy sowie eigen Produktionen aus dem gesamten PB-Repertoire sowie etliche verschiedene Genres wie zb. Electro-Hip-Hop, House, Newschool- & Oldschool Techno, Hard Groove von damals und heute oder auch Ambient war alles dabei. Es war richtig schön zu sehen, wie sich die Emotionen immer weiter multiplizierten und sich am Ende alle in den Armen hingen und einfach nur vor Glück und Ausgelassenheit strahlten. Die Musik hat uns zu einer Einheit werden lassen und wir alle teilten die frohe Botschaft der Liebe gemeinsam auf dem Dancefloor! Danke an alle, die dabei waren und den Abend zu dem gemacht haben, was er ist. Auch ein fettes Danke an die @wearetogether_official Crew und @tim_bergxzs und @torstenweigand für die Chance, mich frei zu entfalten. PUMP VLOG 🌋 Still completely exhausted but overjoyed after this intense weekend. Playing in a church in prague for the first time was something special (videos to follow). Right after that i went to balve to the @pump_germany cave from where i had the honour to take over @beatport ig account. That was more than just the cherry on top. The vibe was just incredible and the production was absolutely on point and best of all my mum was there for the first time and danced like there was no tomorrow. It touched me so much and made me proud. But speaking of pride, I have to say that I am absolutely proud of my brother @tim_bergxzs @thenorthman__ @samira_cdr and the whole pump crew who did a fantastic job putting on such an amazing event. Simply terrific. I’m also proud of my little brother @anotherlife_ofc , who closed the stage after me and who made the crowd go wild with his sound. All in all, it was an evening that will go down in the history of our memories and I am very grateful that I was able to be a part of it 🥹❤️‍🔥 #patrikberg #pumpcave #vlog
